    These chapters are about the rumble , before the rumble Ponyboy was asking everyone why they liked fighting, they all had different reasons why they liked fighting. Then they wen to the fight. Then Dally came to the fight but he only could use one arm because it was still burned. They fought and they won. Then Dally and Ponyboy went to the hospital to see Johnny. They were there for about only a couple of minutes and then he died. Dall got mad and ran out. He robbed a store and then the cops were looking for him. When they found him he had a gun with no bullets. But the cops did not know that there was no bullets so they shot and killed him. The whole gang like Ponyboy and Soda and all them like saw it happen. When the rumble was going on Ponyboy got kicked in the head. When he got kicked in the head he got a concussion. 

Hey. moving on to chapters seven and eight, Johnny and Dally are in the hospital and Johnny is in REALLY bad condition. But Two-bit and Ponyboy went to see Johnny and Dally, but the nurses didn’t want them to see Johnny but the doctor let them in and He opened his eyes and talked to them and you could tell by the sound of Johnnys voice that he was dying. After they leave the hospital Ponyboy says to two-bit ” Tonight- I dont like it one bit.

After he said that two-bit called him a chicken because he didnt wanna fightin the rumble but Ponyboy refused to be called a chicken because he was a curtis just like his brothers.

The next night. The night of the rumble, Darry, Soda pop, pony and the rest of them were gettign ready for the rumble, They really wanted to win for the sake of Johnny. So they dressed up , to show that the Socs are no better then the Greasers.

The word for these chapters are friendship, because they went to the hospital to see there friends and they were fighting in the rumble to win for Johnny.

In chapter 5, Johnny went to get supplise for them all, He decdided that they were gona change the way they looked so he was gonna cut and dye ponyboy hair even though he didnt wanna. Johnny also got a book ” gone with the wind” to pass te time by, they would also smoke alot in a day and ponyboy got sick from smoking too much. Dally showed up at church  a few days later and then Dally, Johnny and Ponyboy all went to dairyqween and when they returned to the church it was on fire.

They don’t know what  happened and why it was on fire, There was a school pinic going on the church and there was some in the church and Ponboy and Johnny went in to save them, they save all the kids but a flamming board fell on
Johnny and broke his back, Then Dally hit  Johnny on the back to get the fire off of his coat and Johnny got knocked out and when he woke up he was in an abulance another abulance Dally was in another abulance and they  went to the hopital and and Darry showed up and he eyes were ful of tear when he saw Ponyboy.

 For these chapters I choose Heroism because Ponyboy and Johnny save a bunch of kids lives in a fire, even though Johnny got hurt doing it.

In chapters 3 and 4 , They were walking home that night from the movies with Cherry and Mercia, there boyfriends drove up in a blue mustang and then Ponyboy went home and his big brother Darry got mad at him because he was late then Darry got mad and slapped him in the face then Ponyboy left and ran away then he met up with Johnny and then they ran aay together but them Ponyboy came back. Then when they were in the park they saw a blue mustang came by and it stopped and five people came out and one came up to Ponyboy and put his head in the water fountain and was trying to drown him but Johnny whipped out a knife and stabbed him and he died. Then they went to Darry and told him and he chuckled and gave them $50 bucks and some bullets and a pistol and cloths. He only gave it to them because he knew they need some protection if they met up with them again . They snuck on the train and off they went to Jay mountain and landed by a church.
